‘Nothing wrong with dropping curtains at the auditorium’ – Shatta Wale on Stonebwoy’s concert

Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has commented on the successful BhimFest concert staged by his long-time rival, Stonebwoy, at the OVO Arena Wembley in the United Kingdom.

Recently, Stonebwoy successfully held his much-anticipated concert in the UK, an event that reportedly attracted a large crowd and filled the 12,500-capacity venue.

Following the concert, a video surfaced online in which some social media users alleged that sections of the venue had been covered with curtains due to empty seats.

Tackling this, Shatta Wale, during a live TikTok session monitored by GhanaWeb on August 19, 2026, stated that he sees nothing wrong with Stonebwoy’s decision to cover parts of the venue if that was indeed the case.

According to Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy may have simply arranged the venue in a way that suited the size of the audience he expected.

“It’s not a shame at all. Maybe you want to use the venue to create a profile for yourself. Do you understand me? I can also decide to hold a show at the O2 and invite you to come and sit in one chair. They can put curtains around the place and set up one table. I’ll perform, sweat on stage, and later write ‘sold out.’

“It’s not that Stonebwoy has done anything wrong. He understood his size and arranged the venue in a way that suited him, and that’s exactly what he has done,” he said.
