
As part of government’s efforts to promote developmental projects across the various districts in the country under the decentralized system of governance, all 34 Assembly Members in the Asene-Manso-Akroso District converged at the District Assembly Hall today to elect a Presiding Member (PM).
At the end of voting, Hon. Isaac Arthur secured 27 votes, representing 96.43 percent, to emerge vict winner, while 3 votes were rejected.
Addressing the media and his fellow Assembly Members after his election, Hon. Arthur pledged to prioritize dialogue, hard work, unity and key developmental ideas, as well as budget approval to accelerate development in the district.
He added that he will eschew partisan politics and ensure that the Asene-Manso-Akroso District Assembly becomes one of the best in the region in terms of development.
