Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says he would be ready to take charge of the Black Stars if given the opportunity.
Tanko says he would consider the job if the authorities believe he is the right person and give him the necessary support.
“If the Black Stars coaching opportunity comes and the authorities believe I’m the right man for the job, why not?” Tanko told Asempa FM.
Ghana are currently without a substantive head coach following the reported departure of Carlos Queiroz after disagreements with the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.
The Black Stars are expected to regroup in September as they begin preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Assistant coach Desmond Ofei has been linked with the vacant position, while Tanko has also emerged as a possible candidate.
The Medeama coach previously worked as an assistant to former Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah.
