Fire destroys 7-bedroom house in Odumasi

A seven-bedroom house has been destroyed by fire at Odumasi in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, June 3, 2026, leaving several properties belonging to tenants completely burnt.

Although the blaze caused extensive damage, no injuries or fatalities were recorded.

The cause of the fire is yet to be established, with investigations underway to determine what triggered the outbreak.

Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) at Konongo-Odumasi responded to the scene and have since called on the public to remain vigilant and promptly report fire emergencies to help prevent similar incidents.

Authorities are continuing their assessment of the damage as affected occupants begin counting their losses.
