Andoni Iraola speaks after being appointed as Liverpool’s new manager

New Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has expressed his happiness after being appointed as the club’s new head coach on Thursday.

Iraola has signed a two-year contract at Anfield and replaces Arne Slot, who was recently sacked.

Reacting to his appointment, Iraola told the club’s website: “I’m really excited, really excited.

“Because obviously you know about Liverpool, you know that it’s a big club, a massive club, one of the biggest in the world.”

Iraola already has Premier League experience from his time as manager of Bournemouth.

He will now aim to help Liverpool win the Premier League title next season.
