“There are 33 million people in Ghana opposing the Three Lions,” Carlos Queiroz cautions England

Ghana’s coach Carlos Queiroz has communicated a powerful statement to England before their World Cup match with the Black Stars this Tuesday in Boston.

The Black Stars come into this match with renewed confidence after their victory over Panama in their first Group L encounter.

A last-minute goal from midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi against the Central Americans puts Ghana just one win away from advancing to the Round of 32.

Although the Black Stars are considered the less favored team in Tuesday’s match, Queiroz is confident that support from the 33 million Ghanaians will fuel their efforts.

“We have an exciting match ahead of us,” Queiroz stated during a press briefing. “This is what we have aspired to our entire lives: to find ourselves in the ideal scenario at the perfect moment, competing against some of the best players globally.

“We understand England’s style of play. They boast outstanding athletes and have the advantage of experience from their Premier League. Their game is intense, but we know how to manage that. They may have three lions, but we have 33 million lions.

The Portuguese coach aims to guide the Black Stars into the Round of 32 and is convinced that achieving a favorable outcome against England will pave the way for further success in North America.

“We are here to earn points. Our goal is to accumulate points to secure our qualification. That is our primary focus,” he added.

“Believe me, there will be a lot of excitement on the field. We are part of the entertainment industry. We will compete, play, and relish the moment. I assure you that this match will be unforgettable for everyone once it concludes.
