COKA secures party office for NPP days after election victory

For years, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) could not boast of a permanent party office in the Ashanti Region, its stronghold, following controversies surrounding the rented facility it had been operating from.

The immediate past NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Wontumi, was unable to complete a project to construct an office for the party, which he initiated in 2018.

However, a few days after his election victory, the newly elected Ashanti Regional Chairman, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah (COKA), announced that he had secured an office complex for the party.

Speaking at a meeting with the party’s Council of Elders and Founding Fathers in the Ashanti Region, COKA said the NPP would begin operating from the new office by next week.

He also disclosed that land had been secured for the construction of an ultramodern regional office complex.

According to him, processes are already underway, with the project expected to be undertaken within his first 100 days in office to enhance the party’s operations in the region.
