The Atukpai Mantse’s office rejects claims regarding the supposed passing of Nii Ayi Bonte II.

The Atukpai Mantse and Gbese Mankralo office has refuted the claims circulating online regarding the rumored passing of Nii Ayi Bonte II, the Gbese Mantse and Adonten of the Ga State.
In a statement released on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, the office labeled these claims as untrue, baseless, and without any evidence.
The announcement highlighted that the spread of this information has created unnecessary distress among relatives, traditional leaders, community members, supporters, and the wider public.
The office condemned this act as harmful and urged everyone to completely ignore such reports. It emphasized that issues relating to the well-being and position of traditional authorities should be communicated through recognized customary and formal channels rather than through unreliable social media posts.
Additionally, the statement asked those responsible for creating or sharing this information to stop immediately and to avoid actions that may disrupt public order or tarnish the reputation of the Gbese Stool and the Ga Traditional institution.
The community was encouraged to depend solely on official announcements from the Gbese Dzase regarding issues pertaining to the Gbese Stool.
The release was endorsed by Tatse Nii Tettey Jijin II, Warlord of Atukpai and Administrator, representing the Atukpai Mantse and Gbese Mankralo.
