Former presidential staffer Dennis Miracles Aboagye has criticised the public dispute between the Finance Ministry and the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, describing it as one of the most troubling developments under the current administration.
Speaking on Joy News’ AM Show, he said the back-and-forth between the two ministries has exposed serious divisions within government.
According to him, the Agriculture Ministry first accused the Finance Ministry of engaging in “infantile propaganda” over claims about funds released to the sector.
He noted that the Finance Ministry later responded with figures intended to prove the Agric Ministry was misleading the public, only for the Agric Ministry to issue another statement disputing those claims.
“The finance minister says the agric minister is a liar. The agric minister says the finance minister is a liar,” he said.
“I believe both of them. They are all telling us the truth. We have two major liars in cabinet as we speak.”
Aboagye argued that the public disagreement raises questions about transparency and accountability within government.
