National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has said that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, cannot falsely accuse people in opposition and escape accountability in power.
Addressing the press at the party’s headquarters, Nana Boakye said Mr. Gyamfi is afraid of his own shadow, looking at how he falsely accused people in an attempt to win power.
According to him, Mr. Gyamfi, in the 2020 election campaign, falsely accused former President Akufo-Addo of receiving a bribe by using a doctored 2015 video of a campaign donation, even though he could not prove its authenticity.
He again said that Mr. Gyamfi falsely alleged that former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was the secret owner of Hubtel, which he couldn’t prove again and that all these allegations, though they were false, were not responded with any attacks or insults.
He therefore cannot understand why Mr. Gyamfi cannot stand it when he is being held to the same standard, even though the loss of 1.7 billion dollars is not a lie.
