The Member of Parliament(MP) for Karaga, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has challenged the governing NDC to produce any developmental project they have implemented in the Karaga constituency since taking office.
“NDC claims they love the people of Karaga more than the NPP does. My party, the NPP, has been in opposition for two years now. Show me any project the NDC has undertaken in Karaga since they took power,” he said.
Dr. Amin Adam also accused the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Karaga of commissioning teachers’ accommodation that, he insists, was built by him and his administration.
“The teachers’ accommodation that the DCE commissioned, was it not me who built that project? Can the DCE explain how the project started and ended? So why commission a project you didn’t build?” he asked.
The Karaga MP assured constituents he would continue to support the area’s development even though his party is in opposition.
“I can assure you that although my party is not in power, I will not abandon you. I will continue to lobby for developmental projects for this community and its surroundings,” he stressed.
Dr. Amin Adam made the remarks while addressing residents of Nyansobga, where he commissioned a CHPS compound.
He described himself as a ‘talk and do’ MP who will keep bringing development to the constituency even from the opposition benches.
“I remember during the campaign, when I visited this community, I told you to choose an MP who does not wait for government support but one who is connected and can lobby for projects. You can see for yourselves the projects I have brought to this community,” he said.
He urged Nyansobga residents to prioritise community development over partisan politics.
“Always think about the development of the community and do not involve politics in these issues,” he urged.
