The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asene Manso Akroso District in the Eastern Region, Hon. Eric Ahinakwa, has donated educational items and cash prizes to 230 students across the district at a ceremony held at the Akyem Akroso Market Square.
The items distributed included student mattresses, chop boxes, trunks, and provisions. The gesture was aimed at supporting students transitioning to Senior High School (SHS) and motivating academic excellence in the district.
Addressing the students, Hon. Ahinakwa advised them to take their studies seriously and desist from bad attitudes as they prepare to enter SHS. He encouraged them to remain disciplined and focused on their education.
He further awarded cash prizes to best-performing students who obtained aggregates 6 to 9 in the BECE, urging them to aim higher and maintain their excellent performance in SHS.
On his part, Mr. Elijah, the Constituency Chairman, expressed profound gratitude to the DCE for the generous donation.
He assured the electorate that the party will do its possible best to win the parliamentary seat from the NPP in the upcoming general election.
The event was met with excitement and appreciation from students, parents, and community members present.
