The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Augustus Andrews Nana Akwasi, has expressed strong confidence in the party’s electoral prospects, stating that he will work relentlessly to ensure the party secures no fewer than 10 parliamentary seats in the region in the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the party is strategically positioning itself for greater gains in the region, although he declined to disclose the specifics of his plans.
“I work with God and will never disclose my strategies in the media. But my strategies work and have worked, and we will get more seats in the region,” he said.
He added that his track record speaks for itself, insisting that his leadership style is driven by action rather than mere talk.
“I don’t just talk, but my actions speak for themselves. People want me as their chairman to produce good results,” he stated.
Mr. Akwasi further described himself as a calm and listening leader, noting that these qualities are what party members in the region desire.
“They need someone who is calm and ready to listen and I am that person they want,” he said.
He also claimed that efforts under his leadership have revitalised the party’s image in the Ashanti Region, expressing optimism about winning greater support ahead of the 2028 elections.
“We have rekindled the face of the party in the region and we are ready to win more love,” he added.
