Broadcast journalist and football commentator Omanhene Kwabena Asante has expressed strong confidence in the current Ghana national team, predicting that the Black Stars will exceed expectations at the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Speaking on Ekosiisen on Asempa FM, Omanhene Asante said many Ghanaians are underestimating the current squad, insisting that the team has the potential to make a deep run in the tournament.
“The current Black Stars team will surprise Ghanaians at the World Cup,” he predicted.
According to him, the quality and determination within the squad could see Ghana progress beyond the group stage and compete with some of the world’s strongest football nations.
“They will advance from the group stage through to something like the finals,” he stated.
Omanhene Asante noted that the team’s transformation will become evident from the opening match of the tournament.
“The first match will make us see the difference in the team,” he said.
He expressed optimism that the players will rise to the occasion and deliver performances capable of restoring confidence among Ghanaian football fans.
Omanhene Asante maintained that the current squad possesses the potential to surprise both critics and supporters on the global stage.
