Boakye Agyarko’s campaign has rejected claims of a rift between the former Energy Minister and NPP flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the party’s October 3 national executive elections.
In a statement signed by campaign spokesperson Vincent Frimpong Manu, the campaign said Agyarko “has his full support” for Bawumia and would not interfere with the flagbearer’s campaign.
The statement also defended Agyarko’s record in the NPP, citing his service since 1992, his role as 2012 National Campaign Manager and his work in building the party’s diaspora structures.
The campaign said delegates should judge the national chairmanship candidates based on the facts, adding that Agyarko would present his detailed plan for rebuilding the party in a separate statement.
