Former Member of Parliament for Choggu/Tishigu and ex-Minister for Food and Agriculture, Ibrahim Adam, has reportedly died.
Mr Adam, an animal scientist and veteran politician, served in various capacities under the administration of former President Jerry John Rawlings, including as Agriculture Secretary and later Minister for Food and Agriculture.
He represented the Choggu/Tishigu Constituency in Parliament from 1997 to 2001.
Beyond his political and ministerial roles, Mr Adam also served as Board Chairman of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), contributing to Ghana’s agricultural and financial sectors.
His death is a significant loss to Ghana’s political and agricultural communities, where he played a prominent role over the years.
Details surrounding his death, including the cause, have not yet been officially disclosed.
