Senior SHS student allegedly assaults junior over missing phone

A video circulating on social media has captured a disturbing incident believed to have occurred at Nchiraa Senior High School in the Bono Region, where a senior student is seen physically assaulting a junior student over an alleged missing mobile phone.

In the footage, the confrontation takes place in an open area near the school’s water tank. The senior student is seen repeatedly slapping the junior student, who is seated on a low structure around the tank, while accusing him of having the phone in his possession.

The assault escalates as the senior student continues to slap, kick, and punch the junior student, even after the latter attempts to defend himself. Other students are seen standing nearby, watching the situation unfold without intervening.

At one point, the junior student attempts to move away from the area, seemingly hoping to de-escalate the situation. However, the senior student follows him and continues the assault.

He is also heard daring the victim to bring along any group or “gang” if he believes he has support.

The video has sparked outrage online, with many social media users condemning the act and calling for swift action.

Some have also urged authorities, including the Ghana Police Service, to investigate the incident and ensure that those involved are held accountable.
