The Akyem Oda Constituency of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Eastern Region has organized a massive thanksgiving service to thank God for a successful executive election and to promote unity within the party.
The thanksgiving service, which was held at Akyem Oda, was led by the constituency Chairman, Mr. Kwaku Ampabeng, and brought together party faithful, both new and old constituency executives, electoral area coordinators, polling station executives, and other key stakeholders of the party.
According to the organizers, the purpose of the thanksgiving was twofold: to express profound gratitude to God for a peaceful and successful constituency executive election recently held, and to foster unity and reconciliation among members, particularly those who have isolated themselves from party activities after the internal elections.
The programme was graced by the former Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda Constituency, Hon. William Agyapong Quaittoo, who used the occasion to call for harmony and togetherness among all members. He stressed that unity remains the only surest way the NPP can remain strong and formidable at the grassroots level.
Hon. Quaittoo urged party members to put the past behind them, forgive one another, and work collectively towards rebuilding the party structures in the constituency for victory in the 2028 general elections.
Also present at the thanksgiving service was the Eastern Regional Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Jeff Konadu Addo, who delivered a powerful message centered on unity, discipline, and commitment.
Mr. Konadu Addo emphasized that without unity, the party’s quest to recapture power in 2028 would be a mirage. He therefore called on all members, including those who felt aggrieved during the executive elections, to come on board and join the collective effort of reorganizing the party.
He stated that the NPP has a bright future and with hard work, dedication and unity of purpose, the party will bounce back to power in 2028 to continue its developmental agenda for Ghana.
The Regional Chairman further commended the Akyem Oda constituency executives for organizing such an important event, describing it as a step in the right direction towards healing wounds and strengthening the party’s base.
The atmosphere at the thanksgiving service was one of joy, reflection and hope, with prayers offered for the party, its leadership and the nation as a whole. Members present reaffirmed their commitment to work hard for the NPP and ensure that Akyem Oda remains a stronghold of the party.
The programme ended with a call on all party members to remain resolute, united and focused on the bigger picture of winning power in 2028.
